How to create a new subscription? Easy!
Just click Subscriptions in the panel on the left side, under Notification.
Find a green button in the toolbar (top right corner) with a plus sign (+) and a text New.
A new pop-up window will appear, titled New Subscription. It is divided into two tabs:
- General
- Schedule.
General
1) Name - insert subscription name.
2) Description - here you can write a short subscription description.
3) Private - choose from the dropdown menu whether the subscription will be private or public.
- Public subscription can be created only by the system administrator. It will be available to only to users assigned by him/her.
- Private subscription is visible only to the user who has created it.
4) Channel - pick a channel (or more than one) through which you will receive notifications.
- Email - notifications will arrive to the e-mail address you entered under Personal setting. SMTP settings need to be configured in order to use this service.
- Text message (SMS) - notifications will arrive as text messages to the cell phone number entered under Personal setting. SMTP settings need to be configured and an account at the service provider Twilio opened in order to use this service.
- Voice call - notifications will arrive as voice messages to the cell phone number entered under Personal setting. An account at the service provider Twilio needs to be opened and SMTP settings configured in order to use this service.
- Mobile notifications - notifications will arrive as smartphone notifications.
5) Locations - here you can search and select location(s) to include in your subscription, as well as select all from the category Databox.
6) Alarms - here you can select which type of notifications you want to receive. You can search for them or pick one or more out of these 10 categories: Access, Device, Flood, Humidity, Input, Output, Particle, Smoke, Temperature and Video.
7) Cancel and Save buttons - after you've entered everything you wanted click the button Save. If you want to reconsider click Cancel.
At any time you can ask for help if you click the question mark icon (?) in bottom left corner.
Tab General can be closed by clicking X in top right corner.
Schedule
1) Schedule - choose when will your new subscription be active. Two options are available:
- Always
- Schedule - enter predetermined duration (working hours, for example). A schedule needs to be created in advance. Find more information in the Create schedules article.
2) Cancel and Save buttons - after you've entered everything you wanted click the button Save. If you want to reconsider click Cancel.
At any time you can ask for help if you click the question mark icon (?) in bottom left corner.
Tab Schedule can be closed by clicking X in top right corner.
